I sold my sp3 to a coworker and got an open box yoga pro 2 from best buy for $599. It's the i7 8GB 256SSD. I never loved the pro 3. I was hoping that the threes type cover would be a lot better then the 1 and 2 and it's not. Typing and scrolling still isn't great and I need something I could boot up and go with.

It's interesting to compare the reviews on BBY vs the reviews on Amazon. On BBY, it's largely favorable, whereas on Amazon it varies widely.

It appears that the BBY version is a better/newer version than the version some bought direct from Lenovo (the 594 vs the 593)? Maybe that accounts for the varied reviews on Amazon?

It was at the local BB. It was open box and listed for $818 but the manager saw that the new in box ones were on sale for $200 less or something and said I can do $599. I almost exploded and said I'll take it. It has a small gash on the top and two thin scratches on the screen but not major at all. It's the 593 which is the older one compared to the 594 that's the new in box ones. Only difference is that the 594 has the better wifi card (AC) and 5ghz. I saw people change the card out so I bought the internal card and it should come Monday. I'm putting a skin on the back to cover the gash. So all in all its gonna be perfect ($600 for the same ones selling for $1150 now).

Love it so far as well. Fast and so much easier to type and scroll on then the surface pro. Trackpad is almost as good as my MacBook.

If you find an open box, wait to see if the new ones are on sale and haggle.

 

Biggest issue is making sure my wife doesnt notice the difference between the SP3 and the YP2.

 

 

Put the 5ghz AC wifi card in and its completely awesome!! Put a skinomi screen protector on and its drying now. Waiting for the carbon fiber skin.

 

Went by BBY today and looked at them. Damn, they are nice!! I just wished they had an I7 model in a smaller screen size. They're on sale this week for $150 off. They also had an I5 model open box for $730, but I want I7.

The 13.3 inch screen is pretty good as far as size.
