Is anyone in the middle of any IT projects that are being affected by the supply chain issues right now.

I am completing a $150k purchase this work for a project and the vendors are forecasting delays of only 2 weeks. But the rumors point to more like delays of 2-3 months.

Is there anyone experiencing this right now?

 

Not now, but when I used to run a datacenter I just had daily meetings with my supply chain folks to stay on top of things and they in turn would stay on top of the vendors.

What are you buying that's delayed? I've heard of some HDD supply issues in the past few months.

 

Probably just hard drives. Those thing are gonna be hard to find for at least the next year maybe even two.

 

I am buying servers, storage and switching. 20tb disk, 3servers, 384gb ram and 4 switches.

I am expecting the storage to be delayed as that is the big reported shortage but I hear that RAM is in low supply as well.
