if I am getting spam sms, do I just call the cell phone company and ask them to remove the sms feature from my service? Can I do that? and for cell phone email?

 

Not sure if you can cancel SMS if you don't have a text/data feature, but I recommend you call the service provider instead and tell them what happened. Request to block that number that you got the spam from, then ask them to credit back whatever they charged you the next month.

Same thing happened to me, out of nowhere some BS text was sent to me thanking me for accepting some ringtone service which I never subscribed to.
