Okay so I'm lost - do I go with the Moto. Q or the Treo? I just want it for emailing (aol & msn) and IM's (AIM, Yahoo, MSN). I also want it to surf the web. Anyone here have some advise? Who has the Q? What do you think about it? Anyone with the Q with the 3G TL? How does it work with BT HFL? Any help ASAP would be great. Looking to make my purchase in the next 48 hours or so. Thanks in advance!

I know some with the Q who say the phone has terrible battery life. I would recommend the Treo, unless the slim/fashion factor is that important to you. Both phones are quite good, though I would say the Treo keypad is a bit easier to use.

If you prefer a Blackberry-ish device, then go for the Q. The only thing to me that the Q has going for it is the slim factor, the scroll wheel and the price ($200 less than a Treo 700P). Also, the Motorola Q is actually a bit longer and wider than the Treos. The main difference between these two are scroll wheel vs. touchscreen w/ stylus. It's about preference. Try using both phones and see which type of navigation you prefer. Having used both phones before, I think the Palm software on the Treo is easier to use, while the wheel is more convenient for reading long e-mails and scrolling web pages.

 

Treo without question. Have had all three version 300, 600, 650 and loved each of them.

I've heard nothing but bad things about the Q.

 

trust me the Q is TRASH.

I figured the Q must be garbage because its only a few months old and now $99.
