Shock Proof only because I rarely eat or drink around my laptop and I am a student so it gets thrown around a lot and I have replace the hard drive now because of it.

Maybe making a cover would be more practicle? I was thinking maybe a case like Vaja Makes for Sony just a bit cheaper, $350 is a bit steep. Then maybe they could add some kind of nice high quality plastic over the keys which would solve the problem for quick spills. The leather would protect it from scratchs and maybe light falls, heres an example of Vaja's...

I already have shock proof in my laptop. Its and IBM T42. Based on from there site with the hard drive active protections and shock protection I can drop it from 12 ft and the hard and data will be fine.
