Service & Number question

I currently have T-mobile and want to badly switch to Verizon possibly.
Right now the account is under my dad's name and I want to switch it to my company name but keep the same phone number. Is this possible?

Absolutely. It's called "Change of Responsibility". However, once you do that with T-mobile, they will make you do a contract extension. Therefore, you'll have to wait 1 year to port to Verizon.

Forget that! I can't wait to switch already. Is there a way that Verizon would agree to pay for the termination fee is I switch? Is there such a thing?

I am thinking of getting the Samsung SPH-i700, negatives and positives for those that have it. Right now I have HP ipaq H5555, that I would sell if I were to get that phone/pda.
