SE P910i

I just received a used a SE P910i from UK, and the original buyer purchased the phone from Orange, a UK service provider.

When i insert my SIM card, the display says: "Wrong SIM card".

Does that mean i have a locked phone? I thought all GSM phone in UK were unlocked. (like in Hong Kong)

Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for the ino

I looked it up on ebay, and you are right, the dongle is very cheap. HOWEVER....

the same retailer notify me that i also need to use a 'clip' to get it unlocked. Does anyone heard this before?? The clip is VERY expensive.

here is the link he sent me:

All you need is a dongle and software, trust me, that clip is to do it without the computer, its a VERY EASY Way, but you can do the same thing with a dongle as many times as you want.

buy any of those and you good

heres the one I bought, I love it, I unlocked my t610 with it and many other SE Phones, I havent done a P910, but I am positive like it says in the auction it is supported, and with it you can also upgrade your firmware and do lots more

DO NOT get a dongle for your P910i...well if you don't care about your phone since you paid so much for it. Check out www.bongowireless.com and ask for Kevin...they're in Ontario. In the process you can even have him upgrade your firmware and decustomize the phone so there's no Orange stuff on there.

Why? Can you not use Dongles on the P910?

You run the risk of frying the phone...seen it happen.

They charged me considerably lower from another place i asked. Furthermore, this place was only a 10 mins drive! It was more than worth it!

Did Kevin help you out? Or another person? Did they de-customize it for you as well?
