Screen Shields/Protectors

I have become obsessed with screen shields for my Iphone, Ipad and soon to be the Nexus 7 Tab when its out. I am really debating whether they are needed, but I did scratch the hell out of my old Iphone 4 at the beach once, so I dont want that to happen again. I have tried most of the protectors out there and currently use the Zagg HD for the Iphone and Ipad. Ive gotten very good at putting them on, but after time, they get crapped up and I replace them. Anyone use ones they like? You think I should not use them?

I had a Zagg on my Sammy Skyrocket, and white is a rotten color to put that film on. You can see a line of crude at every seam.

I pulled it all off. Everything seems to stay better... no fingerprints, etc.

And since I rotate with insurance every 2 years and keep my phone in a carrying case, I'll never use another protector.

I hate screen protectors, I just buy a good slim case and my iPhone is always inverted in the case, so it's never exposed. And I don't plan on rubbing sand on it anytime soon

I don't like them. I'm surprised that you were able to beat your iPhone that much, they take a good beating.

Im surprised as well, but the sand on the 4 scratched the phone for sure.

The only thing that ever scratched any of my device screens was also sand. I'd say screen protectors aren't necessary unless you're going to the beach, and even then I'd just put one on temporarily until the end of your trip.

agreed, seems like sand is the screen's kryptonite.
