Rev used to be an awesome iPhone app - expensive, but awesome. Unfortunately, the app's developer stopped updating the app back in 2010 thus it won't properly run on any iDevices which have a firmware version greater than 3.X.

If you have an old iPhone or iPod touch lying around with any firmware version in the 3s, it will work perfectly. (Albeit, it updates the metrics slightly slower with my TL than other cars I have tested it on.)

Another thing too, if you don't know already, is that you also need to purchase a piece of hardware which transmits the OBDII data to the iDevice. These things cost at least $100 new (google Kiwi Wifi for example)... So make sure you have an iDevice that can run Rev before commiting.

Dashcommand is supposedly an OK iDevice alternative. If you have an Android device, I have also heard Torque Pro works very well (unlike Rev, Torque's developer is still around). Plus, Torque is only $5 :P

GoPoint Technology has an app and a BT Dongle for iOS. http://gopointtech.com/

The reader and the app are $60 (wired) and $70 (Bluetooth) and looks like the software will allow you to clear CES codes as well.

Also provides all the fun data as well
