my black razr was recently reflashed by me which allows me to have video capturing, deletion of any cingular signs on the inner/outer screens, increase of space from 5mb->7mb, and other random stuff. all the stuff mentioned above are mods and aren't stock so a stock razr would have none of the above. i'm happy.

one thing to keep in mind is that motorola has the worst phonebook setup evah, so if you have multiple numbers for a single person you end up with an entry for each number when you sync, wheras the sony has a decent phonebook.

One reason why i ditched my v600

those sites should get you started with modding v3's. once you start, it's hard to stop b/c it gets easier everytime you do something.

not much you can really do

the difference from the razr to the se

razr-vga cam
se- 1.2 megapixel

razr-5mb memory 7mb MAX
se - expandable memory up to 128mb on each memory stick

those are by far the two biggest disadvantages of the razr compared to the se.
the razr has a much nicer style though the se is really bulky compared to it (obviously).

i had the silver razr since the day it came out. i loved it b/c its got all i need and very thin. i got the s710a right when it came out. i liked it b/c i had so much stuff i can do with it, but after about 2 months i realized that i wasnt even using most of what the s710 had, plus it was bulky and not so easy to open the phone, b/c once you open it you have to turn it right-side-up. so i sold it and went back to my razr, and now i got the black one and still love it.

so unless you really need and will actualy use the music and camera get the razr.

If you store the number on the phone instead of the sim, you can set it up to just display the primary number you call most for your contact. If you need to use one of their other numbers, all you need to do is scroll up and down. It's all in how you setup the phonebook's options.

I faced the same question a little while ago, and went with the Razr. I wanted a real thin, light, and unobtrusive phone. I doubted Id use the media features of the s710, like the MP3 player, etc. I have an ipod, and Sony PDA that do the same things better, and I dont have to worry about the drain on the phones battery, so I dont have to choose between listening to mp3's, or making calls.

Also if you are interested in Mp3 ringtones, the Razr supports them just fine.
