Razr MP3 ringtones

alright i did a quick search with no luck. I want to take a song and use it as a ringtone for my razr. I have mpt and the cord and i can transfer pics and all but i cannot get songs and the walmart trick no longer works. What am i doing wrong i cut it to 30 secs and i even made it 16 bit or whatever at the recommendation of someone else. After i did this it did transfer but said it was unidentifiable or something like that. Would someone please give me a step by step Thanks

make sure you are saving it as MP3 file.... I make my own mp3 ringtones and don't have probem. I usually cut the song around 23-24 seconds.

Are you doing the Walmart trick right? I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Maybe you can help a "Fellow American" out with how to hack into my RAZR so I can delete the factory ring tones.

Open MPT
Go to Mutimedia Studio and click on Melody Studio.
Once you're at the Melody Studio click on the My PC tab and go to the folder containing your mp3's.
Click on the mp3 you want to edit.
Use the time chart and the red line to highlight the section you want.
Once you get the part of the song that you want highlighted, click the transfer on the top.
Your done!

Be very careful when your deleting the stock ringtones. If you do it incorrectly you can mess up your ring profiles. There are a number of threads over on Hofo with people complaining about how they can't get into thier ringtone settings after they deleted some of the stock ringtones from the phone. Besides you need some of the ringtones because they are used as defaults. Like when you connect your bluetooth headset.
