Razr cellphone address book question..

so I plugged my Sims card into my new cell and it only displays a few of the saved numbers I have. For some reason they did not transfer.

Anyone know what I need to fix this?

SIM cards can only hold like 50 numbers, so copy 50 off your old phone then onto your new phone. Do this until they are all on there.

I'm not sure with a RAZR but there should be an option in the phone book menu to copy them to the SIM.

What service do you have? A T-Mobile SIM card can hold up to 250 numbers. I think Cingulars is that same as well. It sounds like on your previous phone you were saving everything to the phone memory instead of the SIM.

Depending on what type of phone you have, pop your SIM back into the old phone and go to the phonebook. You should be able to go into options and find "Copy". Most phones will give you the option copy all to SIM. Select that option.

If you still have problems let me know. I should be able to to help you if it is a T-Mobile phone. Just post the model you had before.

thanks all. Yup, most of my numbers were saved to the phone, so I saved from phone to Simm and most of the numbers are there.

thanks again to all that replied and set me on the right pass. Saved me time heading into the T Mobile store and asking for help. They always seem to help begrudgingly cause I am cutting in on their flake time.

Sounds like their customer service is about as lousy as their phone service.

it's more a Sales Center. Once they find out you are not in there to buy or to be sold to, they zone out.
