Please help me with a cell picture question...

I have a Motorola V555, which is the exact same thing as Cingulars V551, and I need to transfer the picture from my phone to the computer. What and where do I get the transfer quick link wire to do this, I went to like 5 places today, and everyone was worthless. I tried Circuit City, radio Shack, the Cell One store, and those stupid little accessory store they have set-up in the middle of the mall!! Any help would be great. I went to the Motorola website and they had nothing there?? How in the world do all of you people transfer your photos from cell to computer???

What do you mean. I assume you mean that I should send them via bluetooth to some source?? What source?? I know that if you bring this camera to Eckerds, they have a receiver there that you can link up with and they can print you actual pictures. But I want to just get the damn pictures sent to my computer. the Motorola website is worthless.

Get a Bluetooth Adapter for your computer and than just send data back and forth between your phone and Computer.

1. Get a bluetooth dongle of ebay or at any major electronics chain.

They look like this.

2. Go to this site for a tutorial/guide on Bluetooth
http://www.jonsguides.com/bluetooth/

3. Transfer your pictures from your phone to your computer with ease and in a breeze.

I have V551 and a bluetooth dongle, and I just took this pic, transfered it to my computer, uploaded it to photobucket, and posted it in this thread in less than a minute.

you have a couple of options.

1> email them to yourself from your phone... easiest way.. it'll cost you between 20-40cents if you don't have an MMS data package with your carrier.

2>buy motorola phonetools and a usb cable to connect your phone to your pc.

3>do the bluetooth thing. you're going to need win xp w/ at least sp2 installed to utilize bluetooth.

One more option he has is to use Infra Red

I am not sure if the Moto V551 has it, but thats what I used to use before Bluetooth came popular and most laptops like mine has a InfraRed Port Receiver so I didnt have to buy anything

Thanks for the help!! I have decided to use option #1. I didn't even know it was an option until I went to a Cingular store and the guy told me about it. I'm an idiot sometimes. I mine as well throw myself under the bus again here and say I was surprised to find out that my phone is in essence a modem. I was informed that if I got that Motorola USB cord and connected to a laptop, I could go in the middle of the desert and use the internet!! He says its 3X faster than dial-up(poor Jatt)!! This little phone really packs a punch.
