PC Question - Right-Click mouse speed

I got a new DELL PC at work and the sucker is fast as HELL, but one thing is driving me MAD.
When I “Right-Click” to go to properties or Cut & Paste operations sometimes it takes FOREVER to bring up the sub- menu.
Well, not forever, but definitely longer then it should be. Sometimes it seems like 4 or 5 seconds.
It’s a pain in the ass when I have lots of repetitive Cut & Pasting to do.

Is there a setting for this in Windows somewhere?
It seems worse when running Internet Explorer then any of the Office applications.
I’ve tried all the “normal” locations in the mouse control panel and Internet options and I don’t see an option for a delay here.

It’s running Windows 2000 Pro
Anyone have any ideas ???

Control + X = Cut
Control + V = Paste

Holding down control and clicking with the mouse lets you choose multiple objects at a time.

Then Ctrl-X and Ctrl-V it.

Type MSCONFIG under the RUN command.
For a new computer sounds like you have no RAM. Unload as many unneccesary things out of your start up tray.
