Im not sure i understand the question. If you buy that phone with a pay as you go account you get it free, so your gonna put another sim in it? If you just want a RAZR to put a sim in, buy an unlocked one. If you only question is if a t mobile contract sim will work in a t mobile pay as you go phone, its yes.

Doubt it unless you are currently with T Mobile. You can use any unlocked GSM phone but that one is probably locked to them.

Depending on where you are ie USA, unlocked phones operating on 850 and 1900mhz will work best. Phones can be purchased on ebay or by conducting a search for unlocked GSM phones. I had good luck with an outfit called ImportGSM which carries lots of phones but priced slightly higer than market due to their excellent return policy.

It is also possible to get some locked phones unclocked to work with your sim.

yes, I currently have T Mobile. Ebay wants $130-150 for the phone plus $20 shipping. Overstock has the pay as you go phone for $199 and includes free shipping & blue tooth headpiece.

I guess it would be risky to buy the pay as you go phone and hope that it will work if I plug my Sim card in.

Should work just fine with TMo, no worries. I only buy unlocked phones however.

The phone is locked to T-Mobile but you would be able to place your SIM in it with no problems since you are already a T-Mobile customer.

What is a good pay as you go plan? My wife and I both have phones that we barely use. I give Verizon $60 a month for this. All I really want is something that would be pay as you go with no monthly fee.

The sim card will plug right in from your old T-mobile phone into the new prepaid phone so that the pre-paid phone has your old number, etc. I just did that with my wife's old T-mobile phone-- got her a new prepaid Motorola phone from the T-mobile store for $60 that has Bluetooth to link to the Acura, then popped in the sim card from the old phone. The prepaid phone card, which we put into the old phone, also had two hours of call time.

T-mobile's pre-paids have $10 refills that expire in 1 month; $25 refills expire after 3 months, and $100 refills are valid for a year. There are no monthly fees or maintenance charges. IIRC, Cingular "Go Phone" plans are similar, but that can be checked on the internet.

I'm giving the Go Phones a shot. $200 a year to run two go phones is going to save me about $400 a year. It will be intersting to see what it really ends up costing me to run them. I can always go back to a family plan if they get too expense.

Go Phone charges you $1 a day automatically whether or not you make a call or not. So, make sure you pick the correct Go Phone plan that doesn't charge you $1 a day.

Hey bro what other phones do you have available for T-mobile? I also noticed you unlock GSM phone. Could you put T-mobile software on a Samsung D900 because I want to have internet browser and YM capabilities but having trouble setting it up.

The one from Cingular is $1 a day if you use the phone. The pay as you go from Verizon charges $1 a day no matter what. I have been test driving a Cingular GoPhone. I like it so far and I can keep my bill pretty damn low.
