New Computer:Think I done good?
I just bought myself a new computer. Getting tired of this Athlon 64 3800+ I'm running on now. It will be here tomorrow I'm excited! Before anyone bashes me for getting an AMD over the Core 2 Duo, I did my research and found that the 6000+ is barely behind the E6600 and even surpasses it in some tests and for only $239 you cant beat it. Just couldn't justify the extra $80 for a E6600 when I could have just as good for less $$. ended up with $918.63 out the door and thats not including the $80 im getting in rebates. I think I did pretty good for what I got, what you think?

What's your video card gonna be? I just finally upgraded my 7 year old desktop (1.2 ghz PIII) to a DFI Lanparty NF4 mobo, athlon 64 3200+ (to be upgraded to an x2 processor), 1 GB of RAM for $150 off ebay (used). A pretty good, relatively inexpensive upgrade.

Yea I want a new video card but dont really need one, I have a 7300gt 512mb that playes counter strike source perfectly fine on high settings so for now im just gonna stick with that until the dx10 cards come down in price.

Samsung Drive is a POS IMHO, only drives to go with are Pioneer, Sony and LiteOn. And the MOBO i would have went ASUS, i've built well over 10 machines with ASUS MOBO's and have never had anything near a glitch or problem with them, their definatly worth every penny. I don't mean to rain on your parade that's just the components i would have used. Since highschool i have built PC's for my friends going to college/university and i offer 100% technical support/warranty on the components I use and build quality, and to this day i haven't gotten 1 call (oldest service machine is near 6 Yr/old), that's why i trust ASUS MOBO's and WD hard drives, be it AMD or Intel the ASUS boards always are on top.
