Palm Treo 750

I'm planning to get this phone/PDA becauase I'm due for an upgrade and I need a PDA for my drug guides and medical dictionaries. Instead of carrying 2 devices in my pocket, I just wanted to kill 2 birds with one stone.

Does anyone have any experience with this device. I'm not too familiar with smartphones since this will be my first one. Pros and cons are greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your responses

I've had my 700p for a few months now and have no problems with it what-so-ever.
I can't say I know much about the 750 though, other than I think it's thinner and doesn't have an external antenna, both of which would be nice features...

Getting a PDA phone for the wife for the same reason. She is doing a masters in Nursing and needs the drug guides, etc. on a PDA but doesn't want to carry 2 things around. I just hope she can catch onto the technology quickly...

We are on Sprint and will be getting the HTC 6800 next month when it drops. Unfortunately Sprint does not have a big selection. It was either this or the Treo and a new version of the Treo (755 I think) won't drop for a few more months.

It sucks, becase I originally sprung for a Dell Axim and she has yet to use it. She thinks she would rather have a phone, but I think she is just affraid of the technology. I hope she can catch on though...

does anyone with the Treo 750 have any experience with it and the HFL system in an 07 TL w/nav? The people at HFL say they are currently testing this phone and will have results as to what it can and can not do with the HFL system within 6 weeks...but im impatient...anyone know if specifically it will upload the phonebook to the nav?

i have a LOT of drug programs loaded on the the 6700 and 700wx. Both phones use the software fine, but the 6700 with a bigger screen is a little easier to navigate around the software, plus i don't need to scroll down as much, or click on the drop down menus for things where on the 700, not all the options will fit on the screen

I had a Treo 750 on Cingular right after it came out. Granted I bought the phone with very high expectations, I have to say that it was the worst phone that I have ever owned. It constantly froze and needed to be reset at least once a day because it would slow down and lag. I warranty exchanged it twice and neither of the two replacements were any better than my original device. I ended up cutting my losses and selling it on ebay and replaced it with a BlackBerry 8800, while i sacrificed the camera, 3G and the touch screen, the stability and reliability of the blackberry makes up for those losses...

Another vote for the Treo 700p. Had it for about 2 months now and so far I love it!

I am in the same boat, looking for a new phone but I want it to work with the hands free in the car. The Acura site has the 680 listed as working, the 750 is still in testing. Do any of you have a 750? How well does it work with the car?

^^ My old 650 and the new 755p both work fine with the 3g TL hands free system.

If this is gonna be your 1st PDA I probably say start it off with a BB Pearl or the Treo 680, both are really simple to use and almost right to the point on w/e you are trying to do. Now if you're already used to the Windows XP or Mobile Windows... then the Treo 750 and 8125/8525 would be the best ways to go... The Windows on the Treo 750 has also been altered so you can use image dialing instead of speed dialing, which is pretty tight, and some other quick keys that become really helpful!!
