Office 2010 Protected Mode

Anyone know how to disable protected mode for Office 2010 for ONLY documents originating within your domain that are sent via email?

maybe look into the trusted publishers or trusted locations. there's an "allow trusted locations on my network" though it's not recommended. what's wrong with protected mode? you don't like the extra step to enable editing?

I don't want to have to enable editing on every damn document that get's emaild to me from within my own domain. I should have the option. Hopefully it's in group policies:

If not I will be pissed. We don't use sharepoint, so we email a lot of docs around to each other.

Why not just store them on a network share and anyone (with permission) can access them whenever. Instead of ending up with multiple copies that are all different creating massive PST files.

then if you put your docs on a network share you can set that as a trusted location and set your peeps as trusted publishers and you should be good. Theoretically....

Doesn't work that way in the real world. Not everyone is at their desktop all the time... Email attachments still are the norm on Blackberries, etc...

Ok then if you do trusted publishers for all your peeps wouldn't that be enough?

I ran into this problem before, I was ready to have a fit and start throwing sh*t.

a) make sure you are added as trusted/allowed (test by adding allow full control/access to 'everyone')
b) make sure the files are not on the root that you are trying to access...for some reason it sees everything on root as read-only.
c) I hate Office!
d) please let me know how you resolved the issue, it will come in handy
e) good luck!
