hey guys i have a sony vaio notebook and it doesnt have a mouse port, i need a mouse port. i was wondering if theres anything out there that can connect to the notebook and that can hook up a mouse on the other end.,

Does it have a USB Port? If you do, get a USB Mouse or a PS2 to USB convertor.

 

Just get a USB mouse. PS2 isn't hot pluggable but USB is. Much more convenient on a laptop.

Only thing I can think of is it has a shared mouse/keyboard port and he is using a keyboard. Otherwise, it is probably behind a door that he has not yet opened.

 

My IBM thinkpad i borrowed from work doenst have a a PS2 port. Though it does have an S-Video IN and OUT ports. Go Figure

This is too Funny, a laptop without a mouse port, its like when Mac stopped putting floppies in there Computers..

Anyways if you want to use a PS2 Mouse than get a USB to PS2 Converter, i dont know why you would want to..

I would rather just get a USB Mouse, A laser one and wireless they are pretty Cheap

 

Some of the smaller VIAO computers dont have the extra ports unless you have the docking station. That is how they are able to make it so thin and light weight.
