The 8890 was the thing back in the days haha, I remember when 3390's were the normal crowd and than people with 8890 had professional status haha! I did some conversions on some 8390's and 8290's to make them look like 8890's, man is that old school, been a while though.
I really like that Nokia phone that you can pop up to answer a call but it doesnt have 1900 band to work in U.S.

The current version has major OS problems and power problems. I hope they fix as new batches are shipped out. But that price point is waaaaay too far out for me...I think I will wait for the Nokia 6270 and the Motorola SLVR

I got my 8801 over the weekend. This is best looking phone I've owned, and it's got functionality to boot. I also had an 8860 back in the day, around 2000. Never had an 8890, though I considered it at the time. So far so good, everything's working perfectly, and I'm even getting used to working a Nokia again, after owning a Motorola V600 for over a year. As someone already mentioned, fingerprints are a downside, but really the only downside. Like the 8860, this is a "high-maintenance" phone, I'm always wiping it down. Other than that, it's great, I give it a

This is a good place to get a 8801 for around $650
http://www.expansys-usa.com/product.asp?code=125667
I was all set on ordering one for myself, but I hear now that a US mobile carrier will be carrying these phones in regular stores for ne1 to buy.
Thas total BS ... ill be soo mad cuz the 8800 are known for their elegance and hefty price tag... and if ne1 can get these phones at a store ... im not willing to spend that kinda money on it. Uniqueness goes away if they become readily available.
For rite now, Razr will have to dol
