No more space on iPhone?

No more space on iPhone?
Hey guys, what's up?
Am I the only jerk to fill the entire 16GB on the smaller version iPhone? Everytime I want to take a picture now, I get an error message that says I don't have enough space. It's super annoying when you want to snap a quick pic, as I have to remove space. I've been deleting unused apps every time this happens, to release 30-50mb of space each time, and it usually gives me enough for 15-30 pictures.
I take a lot of pictures/videos when I go out, and when I go on trips, etc. I love snapping pictures for Instagram/Facebook and just in general.
What can I do to get more space on the phone?
What's the best program to quickly backup photos/videos and remove them from the phone? I do realize you can just plug in your phone and Windows has a program that loads, but I'm looking for something that will let me do everything easier. Do pictures always need to be deleted from phone?
Is there a way to store lower quality pictures on the phone? I honestly don't always need a high res picture of everything. For example when I take a picture of a song on the radio, a parking spot, price comparisons, etc.
Thanks!

- delete browser history and cache
- clear phone call history, voice mails, and text messages
- back up files to PC or Dropbox and then delete from phone

My phone is also 16 GB and does these thing. I have about half the hd space listed as "other" in iTunes. I've deleted texts, emails, VMs, browser history, cache, everything I could think of and everything I found in google searches. It never reduces by more than a couple GBs. The battery draining due to the 4s/ios6 issue is another problem. I sick of issues with smartphones. I've had android before, it sucked. Phone sucked. Many issues. This is my second iPhone. It doesn't have as many issues as my old one, but enough to cause issues. I practically run my business off the phone, so its very frustrating.
