Nextel Blackberry 8350

I have the only blackberry available for Nextel direct connect the 7100i. I've heard that December brings a new Curve the 8350 that includes direct connect and WIFI capabilities. Anybody got one or seen one yet? I'm addicted to the blackberry and my job uses the direct connect so I've had this same phone for at least 4 years and I'm looking forward to the curve.

The curve will be quite the change from the 7100, but you will like it. I have a curve for AT&T and love it.

Hey Nextel! Sprint finally announced the "Nextel BlackBerry" today. The Blackberry Curve 8350i is a Blackberry Curve running on Sprint's Nextel iDEN network, with the quick Nextel push-to-talk that has kept millions of customers faithful to that system. Since iDen is slow, the 8350i also has Wi-Fi 802.11b/g for fast data.

The 8350i is also running Blackberry OS 4.6, which was introduced recently with the Blackberry Bold 9000. That means it comes with DataViz DocumentsToGo, which lets Blackberry owners create and edit Microsoft Office documents - a big deal for Nextel's business-focused users.

Otherwise, the 8350i is a Blackberry Curve. It's got the usual 320x240 screen, MicroSD memory card slot, GPS, 2-megapixel camera, media player, stereo Bluetooth, Blackberry push e-mail and Web browsing. Because the Nextel smart device lineup is so anemic, though, this immediately becomes the most interesting and desirable smart phone on Nextel by far.

The Blackberry Curve 8350i will be available by the end of the year; Sprint didn't give a price.
That's all I've heard. It will look something like this;

I like it alot. As you know it takes a little getting used to for texting without the full keyboard but it gets the job done. I'm looking forward to the WiFi capabilities of the next gen cause the nextel network is slow for internet browsing etc.

nice..well I decided I didnt want it after reading some reviews that wernt so good. They say that a lot of the phones crash and you loose all your info/apps. I actually just got the 8703e, looks like a nice phone but we'll see soon

I have one that was given to me from my work. Its ok but the one thing I don't like about it is that you can't text message with it. At least I haven't been able to figure out how to do so. Plus its huge compared to the new ones.

OK so I got the 8350i on the 15th and it is a big improvement from the old nextel blackberry. Camera, WiFi, full keyboard, Pics, Music etc but I read it might be running on the 3 G sprint network but it's not.

Pair up the 8350i with a 2005 RL

Hi,

I am having a hard time pairing up my new 83501 NEXTEL with my 2005 RL HFL bluetooth.
Has anyone done this with any success ?
I get the phone to pair but I can't hear any audio from the call with either the cell phone or the Direct Connect.
I love the phone, but really miss using the bluetooth HFL as I did with my older Nextel phone.
