New Phone Question

Ok so I am getting a new phone as my old phone (Black V3) decided to go swimming with me. So basically here are my options:

1) Moto Razr V3i
2) Moto Slvr L7 (is this the same thing as the V8?)
3) Moto Razr V3x

Basically I am leaning towards the SLVR, I never was a big fan of the flip phone and really like the look of the SLVR.

My questions are:
Does anyone know if the moto phonebook software has been updated in the phones listed above? (ie multi letter search?)
Are there any other phones I should look at?

My v635 has the multi letter search function, and the RAZR is built off of the same software.

Hummm, I am 100% positive mine doesn't have the multi letter search capibility, er rather didn't. I have really been looking at these three phones and eliminated the V3x, I really can't justify spending $600 on a phone, the dual cameras and the look of the phone is cool, but I will just wait until it enters the US market.

I still can't decide on the SLVR or another Razr... I really like this Screen3 technology but in reality don't think that I would use it, especially if it required the enrollment in a data plan. If anyone else has any input on this matter please chime in. I am going to the Cing store this weekend to look at the phones, well actually just the slvr as the V3i is not yet released.

For Cingular, the RAZR is the best flip phone and the SLVR is a candy bar version of the RAZR, though with a smaller, but better looking screen.

Software wise, they are near identical except that the SLVR has the 100 song limited iTunes found on the ROKR.

moto user interface blows, simply put. its really slow

i had a razr too and liked it at first but then started to hate it. if youre getting it replaced under warranty, might i suggest selling what you get as a replacement immediately haha. on ebay or something

you can go the route i did and pick up a phone thats not offered here in the US but is totally compatible with cingular. samsung d600 quadband phone. works perfectly on cingular's network and is a much more badass phone than any of those you just listed. has 2 megapixel camera, t flash memory drive, mp3 player, and more. just an idea if you HAD to pick one of those though.. theyre all almost the exact same phone, minus exterior styling... and the fact that one has EDGE and one has iTunes.

read up on howardforums.com if you want a bunch more info on those specific phones if youre set on sticking with the moto platform though
