New MacBook Pro 16 or a Loaded iPad Pro 13?
New MacBook Pro 16 or a Loaded iPad Pro 13?
One of my dorklings accidentally knocked a glass of water over on the table I had my laptop. Said laptop is now bricked. I still have to see if/how much it might cost to repair.
But if it’s shot I’m going through insurance since I have a computer coverage clause. That’s the good thing. The bad thing is there is a $3k max payout. My laptop is a 2021 16” mbp with the M1 Max 32 core and 64gb of ram. Retail was $3600. A current speced out laptop is now $4300 and I’m currently not in a position to pay majors than what insurance will cover.
So I’ll either get a lesser model mbp 16 with an m3. Or I’ve been toying with getting a iPad Pro since it’s almost a full computer these days. Biggest heavy lifting I do is Lightroom and Photoshop and the mobile versions are pretty spot on at this point. Just not sure which direction to take.

LOL! Same here.
My kid spilled water over her one year old MacBook Air recently. It still works, but the screen is kind of busted, but still usable. The thing is that it was literally 1 year + 1 week since I bought it, so it exceeded the warranty by 1 week. Ended up getting a new MacBook Air M3 with upgraded specs and extended warranties.
