I put the 11 leak on a Dell XPS I have and I'm impressed. Its faster, it feels better, the trackpad actually sort of works, looks pretty good. Looking forward to the progression of it.
rocking, I think the final build, via insiders build.
Groovy, man. groovy.
at first, seems a little cartoonish compared to windows 10's more professional aesthetic.
after a while, I was used to the more bubbly android material design language.
I'll likely be the first to UAT W11 at our company.
I did the same for the W7 to W10 upgrade.
We're planning on blocking users from upgrading until we're sure it all jives well with our systems.
I've also got one of the older machines in the company, so it'll be a good test for compatibility there, too.
Do you think that Windows 11 will be a lot better than Windows 10 for an Ultrawide?
not necessarily "better" per se...
the beauty of a great OS is that it runs in the background with no issues, does what you ask of it and displays on whatever display you have running.
so, far... I have not run into any bugs and wouldn't hesitate to use on an ultrawide. (I should probably upgrade to an ultrawide)
I haven't done much with the OS (Win11) just browse websites(youtube, acurazine, gmail)
I have fired up a few games, but just for testing purposes. the games ran smoothly and then I quit.

I have amd ryzen 5 4800 laptop and the only slow down I've seen was transcoding an MKV file with win11.
transcoding video via Plex and CPU usage went to 100%.
to get around it; just played the MKV file directly from laptop to TV.
other than that; win11 runs exactly like win10

I think the centered taskbar and the window snapping options that appear when you hover over the window resize button are nice improvements that will be most useful on an Ultrawide monitor

If you want real control over how your monitor(s) behave just get DisplayFusion. You
can do sooo many awesome things with it like creating virtual monitors, creating
[display profiles you can toggle between so your ultrawide can be configured as
3 seperate displays and toggle to a extra-wide and smaller display for some tasks
and toggle to one ultra-wide for others. Same with desktop profiles, configurable
per display taskbars etc etc etc
I’ve played with it on new PCs for clients but it’s not on my personal system since I have a 6th gen i7. It’s nice, restarts fast, seems more responsive, settings is much better. My boss has it and likes it

so, after reading your comment, I updated my main laptop, which has a 10th gen i7, and I have to say... noticeable improvement... I also have another smaller laptop... (the original Surface Book) that has a 6th i7 (like yours), are suggesting that I shouldn't do the update or it's not going to be offered for it?
