Need a new mouse...any recommendations?

My mouse is starting to crap on me. The button isn't functioning well & I'm losing accuracy with the cursor. Any recommendations? How are those optical ones? I need one that's reliable & accurate for gaming. TIA

Get an Optical Mouse, they are accurate and fast!

The wireless ones are even better but cost more.

If you want to go cheap, IBM has a optical (wired) wheel mouse that goes for about $10 at most places. I've seen it as high as $20 though.

if you go wireless, make sure to get the ones you can recharge. i bet you hate putting new batteries in every 4-6 weeks. i have alex's mouse, it's nice but you can't turn it off to save battery. so i just take out one of the battery each night. I have the dual optical mouse from logitech at work (cord). check that out, you might like it.

Get a Microsoft optical mouse. If you look around, you should be able to find one cheap. I got mine for like $10 after rebates and it works perfectly.

If I decide to go wireless I think I'm going to get the Logitech MX700. If not, I'll get something like the one Shawn has (IntelliMouse Explorer). Definitely optical. I'm going to Best Buy this weekend to check them out firsthand. Thanks for all the replies & suggestions.
