Need a DVD case storage solution, please
Need a DVD case storage solution, please
In the middle of transitioning from discs to digital, partly due to kids, but partly because I'd like the shelf room back. Only thing that will be left in the cabinet is HD discs of both flavors.
But, I don't want to get rid of the cases and art. I need a storage solution for about 150 cases. Plastic tubs have round corners, and makes the inside so messy. Cardboard is subject to too much damage where I'm thinking about storing them.
So, is there any element-proof boxes out there that keep everything nice and neat for stacking or splining these things? If not, I guess I'll just have to deal with the plastic tubs.

You're a woodworker. Make some.

You could always Saran wrap groups of cases in the storage box, too, if the seal may not be tight enough.

I assume OP meant "keep the storage boxes safe from insects, fog, condensation and rain if stored in or outside my shed" when he wrote "element-proof."

Go to Target and get the round cornered ones and just buy a slightly larger container than you think you need.
Of all the things I could over complicate, this was not one of them...

Problem is that stogie, mike and I still check in that subforum too.
The zip lock bags aren't a bad option. Put the DVDs in a zip-lock, then put the zip-locked bundles of DVDs in a cheap plastic storage bin. The bags will help keep the DVDs organized, and provide some extra protection of the elements hydrogen and oxygen.
