My TREO 650 saves me AGAIN
I was about desesperate about my Audio / Video Receiver Amplifier Yamaha RX-N600 for which I bought because of USB / Ethernet connectivity. I got it new from ebay but was never EVER able to put the USB port at work. Tried it with USB keys, MP3 readers and so on. All of this in 6 months. Very little support. I want to buy a wireless network later to use the ethernet... later ... someday.
But NOW, I found an alternative. Plug my Treo 650 (loaded using RealPlayer) through the auxiliary V-AUX. All it took was a conversion cable 3.5mm to standard 3-ends white-yellow-red audio / video jack. And of course the reducer 3.5mm/2.5mm.
* AND TADDAM - IT WORKS! *
I should have saved a few hundreds by not buying the USB/Ethernet feature....
God this thing is greaaat.

hey.. I did some reading on your receiver... apparently it only works with some USB thumb drives. I would keep trying til you find a brand that works. Or, see if you can find a list of working brands, that might save you some money and hassle. The quality of audio out of the Treo 650 using RealPlayer, while listenable, is not something I (personally at least) would want to pump through a nice Yamaha home receiver!
