MP3 player for working out?

I have a 20GB creative, but its too damn big to use when jogging, etc.

I have looked at the nano, shuffle, and a couple other flash based mp3 players. Any suggestions? I'd like at minimum 512mb, but 1gb would be even better.

I suggest a SanDisk Sansa e200 series. Yesterday, they released the e280 model (8GB) for $249.99, which is the same price as the 4gig nano...

I really dont need that much space, and honestly dont want to spend that much.

I dont care if i have to load/reload diff music every couple workouts if the thing is reliable and ultra light & portable.

I've been researching them too and it seems that the Sandisk Sansa e200 series is a really good bang for the buck. More features than the Nano and under $140 for the 2 gig:

1. It comes with a good set of earphones (buds)
2. A really good FM radio
3. Voice record
4. Record FM broadcasts
5. A big, well lit screen
6. Comes in many memory configurations to fit your budget
7. Memory is expandable with a micro SD drive, up to 2 more gigs!
8. Battery life is very good

It got an 8.5 out of 10 rating with CNET, others ranked it up there as well.

creative zen nano plus. Small, light, has an FM tuner, and 1 GB of memory - not bad for enough songs for running. Saw it on sale for $49 bucks last week at CC or BB.

Thank you for not drinking the apple kool-aid!

and the Apple players are NOT the best ... not to mention their DRM is annoying as hell.

p.s.
Archos schools the apple video ipod.

Well I ended up getting the Sandisk http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1118844599923

I looked at the Zen Nano, but i couldnt find it for under $70 with shipping, so $40 with shipping is a pretty good deal I think for the Sandisk with 512mb.

I played with the Apple nano & shuffle, and I liked the shuffle, but its not worth the extra money. The shuffle is $25 more for the same capacity, and it doesnt have a display.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

Oh yeah, and I got the phone number of the cute chic at Best Buy that helped me order it. So, bonus there.

iPod Shuffle, about the same size as a pack of gum. Comes in both 512MB and 1 GB models.

You can't go wrong with an Apple mp3 player. There might be others you can't go wrong with too, but i have yet to see something that bests the iPods. Not that it can't be done, but i haven't seen it.

I don't ever have to deal with any Apple DRM. Every MP3 that i've had for years work just fine on all of my iPods. If you want to avoid DRM don't buy your music on iTunes.

You're wise to be looking at a flash-based player. I love my Shuffle. It takes a beating in the gym and still works great.

look up the Creative Zen Vision M, it beats an Ipod video in my book, longer battery life and supports mpeg and avi formats FTW! along with fm tuner and recorder and voice recorder
