Maybe someone can explain this to me, how the hell does a multi-million dollar corportation PROCRASTINATE? I can see individuals do it, but a corporation like this, what the hell? They spend almost everyday working on this phone and they still have excuses? Why did they not want to make a KILLING on this phone for CHRISTMAS? If I was the Pres/CEO of Moto, a lot of project managers would have been fired by now...

 

I got the phone call earlier from Cingular. They will be here this week in the stores. WOOT!

 

Motorola had a problem with a shortage of parts for the phone.

gdubb, cingular won't be getting the v600 right now. AT&T is going to be the first carrier I believe...Cingular is going to have the v400. That is basically the v500 or something like that without bluetooth. Plus i think it's missing a few other things.

 

It's not Motorola's fault. It's your carrier. Consumers don't buy phones from the manufacturer. I could go into more detail since it's my job at Sprint to bring PCS phones to the market but unless there something major like a parts problem or a factory problem, chances are it's your carrier.

Can't say I believe that, the whole time it's been made out that MOTO has been at fault. What benefit does AT&TW, Cingular, and T-Mobile have by delaying the release of the phone?

The V300 is a very good new camera phone tons of features and reasonably priced.

Your saying it's not Moto's fault, but the carriers.

I'm saying, the carriers don't have the phone to distribute yet. It's moto's fault.

 

Maybe Cingular doesn't have the phone yet because for whatever reason they won't accept them from Motorola who is trying to ship them [as is].

Honestly in this case, I don't think anyone is the blame. I think the public is ready for the phone TODAY, and if they can't buy it right now, somebody is to blame.

All electronics suffer from the same "availability date" problem, could be parts, could be yield, could be customs, could be interoperability, could be quality, could be the contract, could be a lot of things. Nobody really knows.

But now I am curious and I think I should find out.

So I took a closer look at the V600 and it does Video clips. Suppose the video clip today when you upload it on ATT, it uploads just find, and you can play it...but when you send it from the ATT website to another email address, it get corrupted 50% of the time. Who's fault is that?

i thought this was a great review of the v600. the guy paid about 1500 for the phone. this delayed release is so frustrating, no matter who's fault it is.

Well I called the larger store today. They talked to the Moto rep and they were saying late this week or early next week. And Im waiting to spend my damn money

v600 should come out in the first week of february thru att exclusively. i dont know if it will go to the other gsm carriers at all. i got this from howardforums. i am waiting for this phone too.

It should go to T-Mobile after a while. These delays are ridiculous, I have heard even Spring.

 

v600 is gsm only i think...mot. coming out with a diff version for cdma

 

Haha I can get one right now....for $650. Blah...I was about to..then it hit me..this is for a phone! It would be for a full working unlocked version, so it would be better than the att one that is going to come out first. Still though....it's a phone. I think I can find better ways to blow 650...

 

thats not a bad price....you should get it and sell to the fools on ebay for twice the price.

v600 is only gsm (quad-band). the cdma version of it will be v800 series, which eventually come out for verizon.

Yeah I was thinking about doing ebay with it, but with such a high demand item...you run into a lot of deadbeat buyers.

Yeah that's what I noticed....I think everyone is waiting for att to release it so that they can "try" and get the free bluetooth headset. 600 only...come on what's the chances of getting that. One thing I noticed is that almost all the ebay ADs don't have real pics of the v600. I wonder if I'd corner some bidding with real upclose, high quality pictures haha

 

It's possible, that's the #1 thing people are looking for in the auctions, security. If you take a pic of the phone in front of your daily newspaper to see the date, i'd bet you could make some $.
