I have a motorola t720 from cingular. Does anyone know how to unlock it? I want to use an ATT simcard which i cannot do right now, so anyhelp would be most definitely helpful.

 

check for codes and or software on howardforums.com be careful though you might screw up the phone if u dont know how to do it...

 

got insurance? T720 is discontinued do a claim, pay $50, get a moto V400. its already unlocked.

 

I tried that already (over the phone tho.... didnt loose it, just wanted to know what will they give).

They said it will be replaced by the Samsung X427 which is not fair, cause at one point the T720 was $199 with new contract and the Samsung is now $0 with new contract.

 

but yet, I managed to replace my V60 with a V400

Dunno why Cingyular had the T720 and V400 with the same price at one point.

 

i just did that for a pissed off t720 customer the other day.. Lockline put the V400 on the list. X427 doesnt even have an outside LCD. which is not a comparable model, technically.

well i have no insurance but I have sent my phone in once which they replaced with another t720 a couple months ago. And now my phone is acting up again, think I could call and have it replaced with another new phone? My phone is weak right now, no games at all and for a person with a short attention span i need some kind of mind killer every so often to help me concentrate. I use to have a T720, the phone sucks ass, especially the camera. I unlocked mine through a website that I searched for on yahoo, just put in "Unlock Motorola Phones" I had to give him my IMEI # and he send the code to punch in when you use a difference sim card in phone, costed me like $15, search around i think its gsm something .com

 

My wife the T720 and is weak on signal. I should've paid $100 more and would've got the V400.

 

when i had mine it would vibrate randomly for no reason, and the LCD would just go out for no reason

T720 might have been the worst phone I've ever had or heard of. POS Verizon even made me pay $50 to trade it in for the T730 replacement and made me reuse my old T720 battery.

I'm done with Motorola for good.

 

After 4 months with the T720 I will agree with you. Yet the V400 is a completely different world.

Go to Cingular and tell them its a POS and it wont work properly. Try to get it exchanged with another brand under warranty. I did that on Saturday, and thery gave me and LG camera phone. Very good reception.

 

Yes the T720 is a fucken pos, it always goes on extended network for no reason when a local tower is available, tech guys cant fix it. Even worst is every time I dial a number and hit the button to call, it just goes to the main screen and doesnt dial shit....I have to do it like 10 times before it will call!

 

The screen on mine was getting scrambled and would occassionally come in half-clear....only upside down. The antenna broke in the second week. They had to re-solder it TWICE because the charging port was breaking the connection on the inside. I wrote Motorola a couple of friendly letters but no response, just form shit. They can suck it.

 

Yea my charger port connections are intermittent and my antenna is broken.

 

V60's were the worst phones, Every V60 I have seen the Antenna has broken, and you cant fix it, and left the phone useless.
