Map Drawing/Desiging Software

My friend is getting married soon, and wants to create his own map for the invitations. You guys know of any free/share/trialware that will do this?

i would...but, then it would appear as though i copied it, from mapquest.

he needs something more professional and formal, as a wedding invitation should be.

If it's a map to a place where many weddings are held, it's worth asking the people at the place if they have maps on how to get there. They may already have maps with directions made for this sort of thing.

You need a predrawn map of some sort really. If I needed to do such a thing, I'd ask my dad for a copy of the area where it was located (he works with this sorta thing). Then, I'd sit down in Microstation (like AutoCad, but betta ) and narrow it down to exactly what I needed, hide the layers I don't need (all their silly power junk from his work ), and highlight the roads that needed to be taken. Convert to a better format (JPEG, w/e), then insert in the appropriate place.

Free 30-day trial. Great bang for the buck & I have used AutoCAD & MicroStation extensively. I prefer FastCAD for ease of use & features.
