Macs and Scanning issues

I have a MBP, and a Samsung AIO Laser Printer. But, Samsung doesn't have a scanner driver for Macs so I can't scan using my printer.

I know that I can purchase 3rd party scanner software, but I don't want to do that if I don't have to.

What are my options? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

If there isn't a driver for your Mac then no 3rd party software will get it to work. your only option is to buy a scanner along with the new computer.

I see. Well, I love my MBP, and I actually love my printer. I guess I'll just have to use a PC to scan.

So there's no other way?

Are you running snow leopard? If so, See if you can't scan through image capture/scan&print in sys pref or in preview.

Does the printer have a scan-to-CompactFlash function like my Epson AIO does?

Yes, I am running Snow Leopard. That did it. All I had to do was use Image Capture.

Thanks!

Honestly, I'm not sure.

But, I got it to work. Thanks.
