I like LILO.

but grub has some advantages!

I usually stick with LILO, but I can see some advatanges of GRUB on a system you do a lot of testing on.

LILO is good for single boots but on the machines that we test on with multiple versions of linux GRUB is better in that situation.

Suse uses Lilo and it's been pretty good in terms of installs. I really can't speak for Grub. I put Suse on a laptop today, actually went pretty smooth.

no no....
completely seperate.....and if one were to put both one, i've read documentation that says put the windows on first but make sure to leave space for the linux partition. Older computers have different rules but mine is brand new so no worries.

lilo is easier to setup, grub is a little trickier. Install windows first and then linux...I got grub with gentoo and winxp dual boot.

I tried with GRUB and LILO. Went with grub first and that seemed to totally take over everything.

i almost always use grub because its reallllly easy to set up and configure everything and have background images for the bootloader and stuff, haven't had a need for lilo, though i have used it with distros that only come with it
