Got it yesterday and love it so far. Only thing thats bad is it gets fingerprints on it very easily. It looks just like an ipod nano, just a tiny bit thicker. It has basic features like any other phone. Texting is a bitch. Has a lot of standard ring tones, but only 2 or 3 are good. Wallpapers are ok, they show off the screen nicely. It definitely needs a case to protect it when you carry it, it looks like it will scratch easily.

Sound clarity is good. Ringtones are loud and clear. The coolest thing is the touch-sensitive face buttons. They don't 'click' like other buttons. You have to touch them with your fingertips, other things wont work (ie, pencil, fingernail) .

If you have verizon, I would say get it. Its a hot phone.

Yes and yes

But you have to buy the sd card separate. Verizon has a package that includes the card, headphones, and some other stuff. I just got the phone itself.

The phone barely just came out and already it's 'garbage'? Let's give it some time first, no?

How do you know the slider will wear out in 6 months, it's not even been out for a month

I'm going to buy one today. I'll give a review.

This phone has a very cool concept behind it and i think VZW did a good job on promoting it. There are many many other phones out there with better features, its just that most of them are GSM phones not CDMA( which is what VZW uses), I'm sure its a good thing for verizon users... too bad its an "LG" =\

Yeah, but it just released here and there are no long term reviews of it yet. Saying that something will be garbage before it has a chance to be used it retarded. I read reviews of it and the only real complaint was the fingerprint thing, difficulty texting, and the lack of a speakerphone. I have no problems with mine as of yet, and the slide seems very sturdy as well.

Ya, so I bought it and it's great. The only thing is, I bought a 2GB micro SD card but it's not working hrm

I also bought the wireless bluetooth speakerphones that just came out, they match too... pretty cool, if only the SD card would work

With [most] Sprint phones that have microSD cards, you plug the phone into a computer using a USB cable and your storage card becomes a mass storage drive.

You transfer music to the phone the exact same way you would put music on an Ipod. IMO this phone is nice. I have been playing with one for the last 2 months and have had no problems yet.

I was talking to our LG rep the other day and he informed me that the phone does have speakerphone capabilities but LG locked them out for some reason. There will be a software flash in the next month that wil enable the speakerphone.

When this phone was released in South Korea it sold 300, 000 units within the first couple weeks. Verizon has done a great job marketing this phone and motivating their employees to sell this phone. Before you know it its going to be in everyones pocket.

I doubt it. There are too many diehard flip phone users who don't care for the slider. We'll see.

Very true ken but since the launch almost everyone that walks through my store is asking about this phone.

The problems with the MicroSD card vary.

I have a hard time getting it out of the slot in the phone.

I had a hard time figuring out how to format the card... Since I don't have the USB cable (which I may buy), it's not a simple, 1 step process to put music on my phone. I'm using the MiniSD adapter.

The music player reads the card slowly. If you scroll down the mp3s it starts to lag. You press down too quickly and it memorizes how many "taps" you've done on the touch-sensitive pads and it will scroll that many times. So, if you're frustrated that it's going slowly, and you press "down" or "up" quickly, it'll take a few seconds to end up somewhere in your music list. - Hard to describe for me, but definitely one of my bigger complaints.

It's funny how many people know about the phone. I have people asking me about it all the time, and I bought it never even seeing any ads from Verizon. I hope that speakerphone update is for real, that is the one thing that I miss having.

we've been having some problems with the chocolate phone. i think some of the phones are defective. when activating the phones some phones will jump straight to the menu and uncontrollably scroll through each one if the slider is moved up, thus making the phone un-usable.

anyone else having this problem? i had to return the phone back to the manufacturer, and i got some unhappy customers also.

the phones they have in korea are nothing compared to the chocolate. people spend thousands of dollars for phones over there and its become a way of life. even if we view american society as being dependent on cellular phones, its nothing compared to korea and how far they are technologically when it comes to cell phones.

i have the chocolate but i bought the unlocked european version on ebay. ive decided to sell it because i think its too extravagant for my tastes and i am eventually going to drop it soon so i should sell it before then. ive only had it for a week so if anyone is interested in purchasing it, ill post the link to the ebay auction when i put it up later tonight.

The chocolate phone is in America. The chocolate phone is in Korea. The chocolate phone in not the best phone in neither America nor Korea.

I believe overall the phones in Korea might be a little better than they are in America, not by a whole bunch, but certainly a lot of selections and some cool features. Korea is not that far ahead of the West in technology, that's bs. Sure they are ahead but don't believe the hype. If you have some facts, let's here them.
