Just purchased my laptop
I'm excited and just thought i'd let you guys know.....i went with the dell inspiron 8200 series.....P4 2.0GHz processor, with 328 Megs of ram, 64 megs of video ram, 8x CD/DVD, 24X CDRW and someother things....can't wait to get it.......

damn that is one sweet setup, i have the 8000 p3-850 i want to upgrade, but this is enough for now... how much did that set you back??

total price was around 2700-2800...it was my parents gift to me for my highschool graduation.....and i needed it for college cause i wasn't bringing my gigantic desktop.....dell had great deals.......i got a free carrying case, free printer/scanner/copier and $150 instant savings....

I'm going to get a laptop in another month or so because I don't want to lug a desktop with me when i move in a couple months.
My budget is more like $1000-1500 so I'll probably get it custom built intead of having Dell ass-rape me for $3000.
