ipod/mac owners: itrip mod to work with laptop?
Subscribeso i found this thread on the spymac forums where a guy has removed the plastic firewire plug from his itrip so it can just plug into his ibook's headphone jack. is there any reason why this wouldn't work with a non-mac laptop? the plug is just a standard headphone jack, right? here's the thread:

the picture with the itrip plugged into the power book is about halfway down. i just wanna play my music from my laptop in my car, and the itrip is the smallest fm modulator i've seen. and it matches the white pieces on the side of my inspiron 6000. :)

i would try it and see, but i don't have an itrip yet, and i don't want to buy one if it's not gonna, y'know... work.

Not even worth the time with a lousy iTrip which has got to be one of the worse fm transmitters around (at least for me it was). You would be better off with a blitzsafe or even a cassette adapter.
