alright, guess ill give the guy some honest help?

apple doesnt want you to be able to pull songs from an ipod onto a computer. why. i dont know. they do a lot of stupid shit with itunes. anyways, if you have a 2nd generation ipod touch or the new iphones you're shit out of luck.

if you have anything else, download winamp, then get the ipod support for it from http://www.mlipod.com/ you will be able to pull songs from your ipod onto your hard drive.

Now that they are on your HDD, have Itunes "find" them and sync them to the ipod. Then just add using itunes.

I thought you used Winamp to get all the songs from the ipod to the hdd, no?

So if you sync, it will replace all songs with exactly the same songs right now.

Step 1 - pull all songs off Ipod onto HDD using winamp or whatever tool you use
Step 2 - install iTunes and point it to the location you pulled the songs to
Step 3 - have iTunes import all the songs that now reside on your HDD (duplicates of those on Ipod)
Step 4 - once all tunes are in iTunes, sync with the Ipod, overwriting all current songs with EXACTLY the same songs (you ripped them to the HDD, remember?)
Step 5 - add songs to iTunes and re-sync at will
Step 6 - Profit

I laugh at you fools and your ipods! If you had a Zune you could plug in your Zune and easily copy all songs from your Zune to your PC using the included Zune software. I use this feature to copy share songs with my friends. Zunes yet again FTMFW!!

It's really this easy. you plug in the Zune, click device choose music and then right click on whatever you want to copy over and choose copy to my collection. You can do this with anyones Zune and get their music from their Zune to your collection.

I'd recommend using Music Rescue, it prompts you every 50 songs to pay for a lincense but you don't need to, it's how I've pulled 80GB of songs off of my one iPod so now I have it on my computer and my other two iPods. The other benefit is that it copies all songs directly to iTunes.

I've used Mediafour's Xplay several times to get music off an ipod onto pc. Its trialware but the last time i used it, it was fully functional during the trial.

I did not know that.

I just know it is impossible to move music from your ipod to itunes because apple is stingy with that kinda stuff.

Because if you could transfer them off with itunes, you could take your ipod to your friends house and download them all to his/her computer and they don't want you doing that
