iPOD + Bluetooth + 2004TL = HEAVEN ;)
I was thinking, the new 2004 TL Will have Bluetooth right..
Well I am planning on getting a iPOD, but I know they dont have bluetooth..
So What I plan to do is, get a bluetooth adapter like the one that comes with Jabra -- that converts any phone with a headset to bluetooth -- Than use a adapter that converts headset jack to headphone jack..
I know your confused....
OK
There are cell phones out there that dont have bluetooth, but Jabra (Wireless Headset CompanY) Has a Headset that is bluetooth but it comes with a adapter so u can add bluetooth to your phone so the headset will work..
You see the base which the headset is in? It has a 2.5 mm pin which is supposed to go to the phones headset hole..
Well I thought cant u conver that 2.5 mm pin to a normal headphone jack...
You can use this to convert to headphone (BELOW) or something you find at radio shack..
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=15040
See than I put the adapter in the iPod or Any CD Player or Headphone jack device.. Than In the adapter I insert the bluetooth adapter.. The 2004 TL Bluetooth will recognize it as a phone and everything that goes thru will come thru the car speakers..
Still confused.. Well GOOD LUCK

DOesn't the iPod have something called an FM transmitter where it plays over ur radio using like a weird channel like 89.3? and i think i saw that it costs like $35. That Jabra headset sucks i have it, returned it back to Verizon 3 days later. Waste of money.

You can always get FM transmitter from bestbuy for $20-30... The quality is never good though..
The point to the matter is, if i wanted I could get a AUX Input, into the stereo its not that hard, but this new bluetooth technology, I wanted to try it out..

Bluetooth Headset profile is a mono application; I doubt you'd be happy listening to all your MP3's in mono sound! What you're going to want is the newer profiles that are Audio Video use.
I know that there is / will be an iPOD adapter for Bluetooth coming out shortly, and I'm sure they would have used the right profiles. But ... your problem is that the car needs to have the proper corresponding Bluetooth profile in order to receive the signal correctly. More than likely, this isn't the case.
I would expect the Bluetooth capabilities in the TL (or almost any car, really) to be limited to Headset profile, Handsfree profile (which is the successor to Headset), SIM access profile (if even, which is another step up), and possibly phone access profile. Chances are, you'll only see the first two profiles in play for a while.
Sorry, unless you find an aftermarket stereo that has Bluetooth built in (which is unlikely).
