iphone earbuds mod...

i did a search and couldn't find a post on this but i found this on youtube...so i thought i'd share for those who didn't already know....
i can't stand the earbuds that came with my iphone and didn't want to spend $100 on the bose..or any other good earbuds out there...so i tried this...i took my sony earbuds($30) and swapped them out just like the video...sound is awesome...110% better than the stock earbuds...plus i can still use the answer button...for those with an iphone who hate the earbuds...you should try this...it's very easy...

Guys, let me know how these turn out. I've done a very simple mod... I went out and bought these

http://cgi.ebay.com/Ear-Pad-Foam-Cov...QQcmdZViewItem

I got a set from Radio Shack for 3.99 and now my iphone earpuds sit perfectly in my ears, stay put and sound great because of the position they sit in vs stock.

I'd try that first to see how they sound before upgrading them. I also have an audio enhancer file I downloaded via installer ((Audio AMP)) which bosted up my sound 50% via the headphones. I usually get up to 50% before it gets soo loud I can't take it especially with the ipod feature!

Try them both out
Here's a link to get the Audio Amp source

Cool! When I was driving home from my nephew's b-day party this afternoon I passed by Best Buy and was like F it what do I have to lose...

I ended up grabbing the Phillips Turbo Bass Premium in Ear bud headphones for 34.99

I'm looking for some glue for the back parts but so far they work so that's all that matters...

The more I squeeze the back on the better they sound. At first they were flat as hell and I was pissed.

But now they sound a little better

More in a bit....

Viper did you do this mod on the 100.00 ones as well or are you running the new headphones without the mic part?

Ok...with the glue dry...I'm playing Lupe Fiasco's Dumb it Down and Hooly crap the sounds much louder. The treble is amplified like 3x. The Bass in proved somewaht but since these are those acoustical earbuds, the pads they use to filter outside noises are doing their job to make sure I don't hear that ambulance blowing its horn while I drive...which can only mean one thing...I don't see me being able to talk with these while driving...

I dunno...maybe I'm a little too far ahead of myself but when I say the headphones are LOUD I mean it.

I can't get the sound even to 50% anymore....that used to be my threshold with audio amp but now I've modded the earbuds, I can only turn my headphones up 40% before I reach the oh $hit I think I'm going to be deaf mark

Was it worth it...I think I'm willing to go on record and say yes. Will I pick up another set of apple earphones...yes...Just so I have a backup
