Iomega Peerless Storage? COmputer ??

Anyone use one?
Are they decent?
I want something to put all my MP3's on cuz they are taking up too much space, what do you think would be the best idea...

*Something like the Iomega Peerless, etc. that's external and USB
or
I was thinking of getting another 2.5" HDD (i have a laptop)
any 2.5" drive is compatible right?
So buy like a 20-30GB drive (I have 11 now)
put the large on in my computer and put the old one in an external USB or PCMCIA case....

USB is fast enough to play MP3's without bottlenecking right?

The only other USB stuff I use is a Compact Flash reader (Self powered)
and my HP DJ 930C -- which I don't use very often -- only if I need color -- otherwise I have a LaserJet

I'd suggest getting a 2nd HDD. I don't like swaping CD's so storing the MP3's on CD's doesn't really work for me.

Dude new harddrives are freaking cheap. You can get a 40Gig ATA1000 7200RPM one for like $150 bucks. For the price of an external storage solution and the media for it you can have TWO of those harddrives and tons more space. This combined with a cheap'o conversion kit to USB or Firewire (if you've got it) and you are set. I have a firewire external CD/DVD bay witch I mounted a removeable harddrive rack in. Since the firewire is plug and play I just unhook it, switch harddrives, plug it back in and WHAMO....30Gigs more of MP3's. Hmmm I think I need to check again but last I looked I had over 120GB's of them. Hmmmm

Hmmm can we say I deal with computers too much.....nahh!!!
