I'm a dork - Quadcopter Build

So I bought a little heli at the mall years ago and started playing with it the other day and since I'm engaged, I can't go get drunk and make bad (or good if you're single) decisions so it was amusing me. I decided I wanted an outdoor one and decided to build a quadcopter. So far it likes to try and flip itself over but since my power source for the lipo is terrible, I can't fly until the cord arrives.

Anyway, not sure if anyone cares but it was kind of fun to build

All the parts

Frame assembled, legs added, motors mounted

ESC's and power distribution board added

Control Board mounted and wires tided up a little

LEDs, receiver, low battery alarm, and Props mounted (white in the front are hard to see here but incredibly bright). Need to find some sort of cover for the top.

Yes, my office is a mess, I know this. Anyone fly?

Looks like fun.

That flysky stuff is pretty good. Especially for the money. I have a 3 channel flysky remote for my emaxx. Never fails and range is pretty damn good.

I'm pretty new to the hobby but the flysky got great reviews and was only $50. I have been screwing with this every chance I get to try and get it in the air but I have learned the new firmware I flashed sucks so I went to an older one, got it to hover, went to adjust the roll, and the freaking screw was stripped. Just ordered a new flight control board, grrr

Drones can't fly themselves. They're not autonomous.

So the stripped pot was the best thing to happen to this build. Everyone said the basic board was perfect for first flights, in case you crash but i could not get it to stay remotely stable. This board has auto level but with it off, I can actually hover and turn this one Not sure it my was defective or just the fact that the LCD screen makes this one so easy to program but regardless, I'm happy.

New Board and protective added 'bubble'

Other LEDs (3 cluster) seemed weak and I put too much power to them i.e. they blew New ones are blinding

So far the thing is pretty fun, I have the perv camera I'm going to add after I can get some stable flights going and I'm already looking at bigger carbon fiber frames, bigger motors, etc. I think I really just enjoyed putting it together.

Hey man, we moved back south and some how the charger disappeared. I keep meaning to order a new one and get it back in the air. I really enjoyed building it and did another but I don't think I flew this one more than 3 times ha
