i830 reviews?

Can anyone give me a good review of the nxtl i830? I've heard good and bad and since my cingular contract is up in 3 weeks and likely to be ported over to nextel, I'd like to know if this is a reliable phone.

Thanks

my advice

stay away from nextel-- everything about them sucks

i've owned 4 nextel phones and 3 of them broke in the same exact spot in under a year

(i90, i95, i730) -- the only one that lasted is the old skool i1000 plus

i got t-mobile 2 days ago w/ a slick black razr

My nextel phone has been dead in my car for a week now, I never turn it on and have no plans to continue using it after my contract is up. It is possible that your area has good coverage, but don't expect it.

As far as the phone is concerned, I have no experience with it at all.

We have Nextel for our company and therefore I have the i830. The only problems that I have ever had was related to an update that I didn't get on the GPS software.

Other than that, I have to give it a

Also, we have about 50 phones in our company, and I have never heard of anyone having any problems. The service coverage area is not as good as say ATT, but as long as you are around a major metropolitan area, you should be fine.

My i730 has been dropped numerous times and has held up like a tank. Im thinking of upgrading soon.

i work for nextel as a technician. those phones don't come in too much. the only problems they have are because they are so skinny the insides get 'crushed' really easy.

but the i836 just came out. it's supposed to be the redesign and it only costs $25 more than the i830.
