I am sure there are millions of them out there, but my need is simple and easy. For iOS devices.

Need -- Enter in our current balance. For the checks or money that is pulled from our checking account, we are both VERY lazy when it comes to updating balances. I am looking for a VERY simple app that will allow my wife and I to share balance information across our devices, enter in when we wrote a check (or electronic debt), and the amount. Also, enter in credit info (deposits), I could care less about who it was from/for, etc.

And why aren't we doing this through our bank and their app? For reasons I won't go in to, it's not that easy nor worth the time to explain, but I'll say that it's not an option.

 

Why not just use something like Mint or Personal capital which hook into your account directly to display balances/transactions? It's not realtime updates, but it's pretty damn close.

At home, on my tablet, I use both. I don't put either on my phone (which could potentially get stolen, etc). If I used one on my phone, I'd use PC as it seems generally more secure (pins, two way authentication, etc)

Thanks. I've looked into Mint and will continue down that path... Have a few nuances that may Mint being not what I'm really after.
