I have conformation for 2 of them to be shipped on the 26th from HP. I'm going to see if my little sister can use one for school, if not I will be passing it on to someone here that wants it.

HP is going to sell more. It's not a matter of will they being selling them, but a matter of when. They first need to fulfill the over-sold orders then see how many they have left to sell. That's why their site says "Coming Soon."
A lot of retailers sent their warehouse inventories back to HP over the weekend or on Monday. Just a matter of time....

How was this not coordinated with their vendors? They just decided to slash prices to 1/4 what they originally sold for with no inventory? Seems like HP dropped the ball.... Maybe I'm wrong?

I have forsaken all but Bestbuy.com and HP's own websites for new stock. Below I'll quote a slickdealer with some good advice.
Happy hunting. 
As you all know, the last batch of tablets are about to go live sometime today. As soon as this deal hits, we probably have about 30 minutes to an hour before this party is over.
#1. Make sure you signup in advance for a free account and add your credit card to your profile at the HP Home Store, here: http://www.shopping.hp.com/
Make sure your name, and billing/ship to address is correct. Also, I highly recommend you save your credit card to your HP Home Store account in advance so that when the deal goes live you just click to buy and you are out before the hordes of people pounce on it. The way I added/saved my credit card was by adding an item that's in stock (a tablet accessory for example) to my cart. Then I proceeded with checkout, making sure to choose the option to save my credit card but I didn't complete the order and removed the item from my cart afterwards. By doing this, your shipping information and credit card is all ready for when the deal goes live while all the others are still fumbling around.

Choose either of these two models below. You can't go wrong with the 16GB for $100 (personally, I went with the 32GB for $149 delivered to have double the memory for when Android is ported over to these tablets):

#3. (optional) Download the Alert Box plugin for Firefox here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/.../alertbox/
I did this myself. Alert Box will automatically watch a page and as soon as it changes, it will sound an alarm. Once the page/alert is added, you don't have to have the page open, just make sure your browser is open and that your speaker volume is turned up so that you can hear the alarm. I set a custom alarm interval to 30 seconds and changed the default .ogg Alarm to a custom .wav alarm (type it in like this, but without the quotes: "file:///C:/path-to-your.wav file" ).
It's a good idea to do a test Alarm first.
There's also, http://www.nowinstock.net/computers/tablets/hp/ but I like the fact that AlarmBox is running on my own computer so that I have control over it.

Unless you watch the HP site every minute today and jump on it right when they relist you won't get one.
