help on windows virtual memory
my OS is win2k, i have 1.2gb of ddr ram. whenever i reboot my system, i get this message that my virtual memory is missing or too low and windows has set it for me. i check my virtual memory and it is set at 20mb. i go to performance options and change the virtual memory settings. i reboot and it gives me the same error. i check performance options again, it still has 20mb as my virtual memory. i have other software that check the virtual memory like norton and sisoftware sandra and they both tell me that i have more than 2gb of virtual memory. it seems windows is just not reading it correctly. is there anyway to correct this?

someone might have removed the 'everyone user' from your root partition (C drive most likely)
the reason why this is happening is because , even though 'administrator' has full control he too falls under ' everyone' thus the permissions isn't allowing the virtual memory configs to be saved.

thanks joe. that did it. my buddy and i were messing around with my home network and he removed the everyone under security of the c drive. i put it back and all is well.
