Help me choose my blackberry...please.

My company recently decided to get rid of the policy where I pick my own cell phone and receive a $75 monthly payment for it. Now they are saying we will be issued a blackberry, but we have a choice of two. The carrier is Sprint/Nextel. (My personal set up was the Cingular V557, I'm not used to having to pay my own bill and now it appears I will have two phones...the blackberry and the Motorola from Cingular)

The blackberry options are:

Blackberry 8703e
http://na.blackberry.com/eng/devices...Id=H0,C63,P204

Blackberry 7130e
http://na.blackberry.com/eng/devices...Id=H0,C141,P69

Also, feel free to add any comments if you use the phone or why you choose one over another.

Anyways, if you will be using it for email alot, the 8703 makes more sense and is more effective as an email tool with the full keyboard. If you will not be using email that much, the 7130 is smaller and therefor makes a better phone.

Did I post this in the wrong area? I put it under ramblings and under mobile phones? Isn't that where a cell phone poll would go?

Huh? The links you posted dont work. "Page not found" etc. In any case, see my comments above.

Oh my bad...that's weird. I copied the links straight off an address line just minutes before I posted. First time I have seen a magically changing URL. Maybe they discontinued the phones just as I posted?

If you're going to have another phone for personal phone calls, I'd opt for the 8703e.

Also, Sprint just started carrying the Motorola Q. I don't know much about it, and it hasn't gotten the best reviews on the Verizon network, but Verzion also screws up every phone they get their hands on... So, the Motorola Q MIGHT be something worth taking a look at as well.

i had a 7130c for cingular. The keyboard isn't bad at all for emails and such and is sized just right for a phone/PDA.

but if ease of emailing and messaging takes priority over form factor for you, then get the 8703.

Too bad the 8800 isn't out yet, and surely won't come out to sprint/nextel for a while (they don't even ahve the 8100 yet).
