Have to get a Verizon phone
Okay, I think serious phone junkies will agree when i say verizon phones suck. Right now, i'm using a sony ericsson w900i and a sidekick 3 on tmobile. I plan to keep my tmobile service(s), but my girlfriend AND my sister both use verizon and since my overages are nearly ALWAYS attributed to them, I need to get a verizon line to take advantage of IN-calling. I was looking at the phone lineup, and there's really nothing that catches my eye. I'd like to go with something small, seeing as my w900 and sidekick are pretty clunky, but they both get the job done really well, so the need for a feature packed phone isnt crucial this time around. I've had nokia phones almost exclusively in the past (i had a nokia 3650 for a solid 2 years, and loved it), and like the nokia 6256, but apparently, the hinge is weak and it dies alot? (from what i've read), i like the size of the nokia 6315 but find it to be horribly ugly. The razr fits the bill for what i'm looking for, but really, everyone and their mother has a razr. even my 57 year old dad has a razr. Really, i'm razr'd out. Anyone have any good suggestions. I'm really interested in the new krzr coming out. But rumor has it that it wont be until february and that its going to cost around 400 dollars!? I really think thats too much to pay for a 2nd phone (my sidekick is for email/aim/texting/internet only)
the krzr should be out sooner than that.....it think before Nov. (its actually on the verizon beta site for the last week). If you can hold out, LG is coming out with a flip chocolate that is called VX6800, VX6600 or something like that
Did you already do this?
I have a w800i with T-Mobile and I have also looked at switching to Verizon. I am looking at the Samsung a990. 3.2MP camera is the only thing that would rival my current camera capabilities. The Verizon UI is very limiting, but there are programs and hacks to re-enable features (such as OBEX Bluetooth transfer). Getting pictures and MP3's set as ringtones will be more difficult with Verizon also. If you did already make the change, what do you think? You could always just up your plan with T-Mobile. IMO GSM>CDMA
