Weird, does this happen often?

Any new drivers you have installed recently? Correct me if I'm wrong, Diablo 3 works via internet? Try to find a program that will perform a Stress Test on your system. It could be just Diablo.

Download this app, run it and see if it shows any more detail like this screenshot.

you can download prime95 to run on your system. A stable system should easily handle 24 hours of that without crashing or erroring out.

If you suspect a GPU instability for whatever reason, try running OCCT's GPU stress test.

You will need to make sure your case is being properly ventilated and your temps are within safe ranges.

booting off a memtest CD and running that for a few hours wouldn't hurt either.

It happened only twice since I bought my computer 2 months ago. The first time was actually 2 days ago playing Diablo 3.

I'll run those programs to see if I can get more detail on this.

And yes, Diablo 3 runs on internet only.

Reason I've asked regarding internet, a few folks have similar stories as you with their network driver failing..either wifi or wired. Any patches for Diablo? Upgrades? Last time when it happened, what were you doing?

Last time it happened, I was beating the shit out of Azmodan.

Blizzard just did couple patches within 4 days.

So, it may be the game's problem? not the hardware problem?

Blue screen of death is usually caused by memory bottleneck. I think it's the game, otherwise your computer would of given you the blue screen of wtf randomly and daily. Windows is good at establishing a pattern of failure once it starts, lol.

bsods have a wide range of causes from bad memory, hard drive, software (drivers), heat, bad power supply (irregular voltage), unstable over clock, bad video card (crashing drivers), etc.

IRQ not or less equal though can probably be isolated to bad memory maybe.

you can download a set of tools that analyzes the minidump and can possibly give you the source of the error as well. PITA to get all of that installed and working though. (tools, then the win 7 symbol pack etc)

i think i have to run that program to see what's really going on with it.

it's been giving me the bluescreen once everyday.

it's usually when i play D3 or watching a movie.

and my wife said that when she was playing d3, the graphics were getting messed up for couple seconds when there were 100 millions minions were coming toward her.

Check your temps then, I always have one monitor showing me the temps and info, even though I'm water cooled with a zillion fans. It's a habit.

FYI, I'm a complete noob when it comes to computer hardware. I bought this bundle deal because my friend told me it's a good deal.

If it's a overheating issue, how do I fix it? Do I need i don't know better cooling system? If so, which one?

Last time I had a blue screen the computer would not boot correctly. Had to get a new MB cause the GC failed on me.

Keep an eye on that heat though. The graphics card can get very hot with those games.

Maybe because it's plugged into 55' 3D LED TV?

first you gotta get an idea of the temps before replacing things.

download speedfan: http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php

it'll read sensor on your mobo for your CPU, north bridge, hard drive temps, GPU, etc.

could be the CPU cooler not seated properly and overheating, or insufficient air flow in the case.

Run prime95 (http://files.extremeoverclocking.com/file.php?f=103 Download the 64bit version if you have a 64bit OS) and monitor the temps using speedfan. Typically the highest temp will be the CPU (speedfan may or may not label it as CPU) while being stressed.

edit: quick google of an i5 2500k, 90C seems to be the top end of where you want it to be. What intel do you have by the way? It's never listed in the computer building thread.

I live in a huge mansion. 55 feet is too small.

blue screen of death is NOT caused by anthing other than one of the 2 things

1. poorly coded program/driver that causes a system violation

2. HARDWARE FAILURE due to incorrect instalation, insufficient cooling, weak power supply, overclocking too far, or faulty device.

Post up your system specs including case so we can have a better idea of what is going on
