Review. This is the killer app that will kill the iPhone. Okay, maybe an exaggeration, but at least for my family.

Background. My wife has been an iFan for the last ten years. She has iphones, iMac, iPad, iPod, iTunes, etc. On the other hand, everything I have is Google and Android. I've been trying to get her to switch for years, but no luck. We are a dual system family.

Two weeks ago I got her the Google Home as a present. Let me tell you, this thing is amazing. It's converted my wife. She transferred her calendar over to Google calendar, iTunes to Google Play, and email to Google Inbox. Her iPhone is still relatively new, but she said she'll look into getting a Pixel when it's time to upgrade.

I call that a heck of a win. Very excited about the new features coming to home as well. Wish they would have given a bit more of a timeline of when to expect the new features though. If there was one I might just not have seen it.

At I/O, they said that hands free calling will be rolled out "in the next few months."

You don't have to like what they make/stand for to take advantage of a great deal

Fuck if Breitbart was giving away free Google Home's I'd probably sign up just the same.
